Position estimation of fuel ball blockage in pipeline

Abstract When the high-temperature gas-cooled reactor is working, lots of fuel balls are transfered in core pipelines. To enhance operation efficiency, this paper proposes a simple and feasible estimation method for pipeline blockage detection. This steps include as follows: Firstly, three-dimensional models possible pipelines formulated; once breaks out, radiation counting rates collected along predefined route; subsequently, space set from above models, particle filter algorithm executed to complete processes weight updating, normalization resampling; finally, position calculated convergent set. Simulation experiments showed that could effectively work accurately estimate location.
